X-ray data from space was combined with visible light to produce this celestial bauble just in time for Christmas. The space ornament is really a young pulsar discovered in the remains of a supernova's wreckage in the Small Magellanic Cloud, a satellite of our own Milky Way Galaxy. It was found by teams working with NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and ESA’s XMM-Newton satellite.
